Analysis of Cultural Values in the 153rd Kirab Pusaka Haul Eyang Djoego: Case Study of Jugo Village, Kesamben Subdistrict, Blitar Regency

Haul Eyang Djoego is a culturally based event held once a year in Jugo Village, Kesamben Subdistrict, and Blitar Regency. This event involves all layers of society in Jugo Village. It is a regular activity that took place from June 2nd to June 4th in 2023, featuring various agenda items including wayang kulit performances, a bazaar, a grand religious gathering, communal slametan, kirab pusaka, and traditional dances. The event is highly regarded as one of the Nguri-Nguri Budaya ceremonies and is planned to be developed as a tourist destination. This research aims to explore the cultural values embedded in the 153rd Haul Eyang Djoego. The research methodology employed will consist of observation, interviews, documentation, and a qualitative research approach. The findings of this study will encompass cultural values such as traditional heritage, religious or spiritual values, community togetherness or solidarity, and local identity or self-identity, all of which are preserved and passed down from one generation to the next by the people of Jugo Village. The procession of ancestral relics in the 153rd Haul Eyang Djoego is a significant activity in preserving and promoting relevant cultural values in Jugo Village, Kesamben Subdistrict, and Blitar Regency.
