Case Study: Qingdao Sino-German Future-Park
摘要
This chapter presents the development of the AI City Hub within the Qingdao Sino-German Future City, situated in the West Coast New District. This project represents the inaugural sustainable development initiative resulting from collaboration between the Chinese and German governments, focusing on the establishment of an intelligent ecosystem and fostering industrial transformation. The centerpiece of this development is the AI City Hub, which leverages the City Information Modeling (CIM) platform to integrate Building Information Modeling (BIM), Geographic Information System (GIS) technologies, and IoT devices, thereby enabling intelligent urban planning, construction, and management. The CIM platform harnesses big data, AI, and 3D simulation technologies to facilitate informed decision-making and optimal resource allocation, particularly concerning energy, water resources, and urban planning. The platform’s architecture comprises three tiers—“data,” “computation,” and “application”—incorporating advanced functionalities such as intelligent perception, decision-making, response, and learning capabilities. These features allow for real-time monitoring and optimization of urban operations, enhancing urban management efficiency and sustainability.
