The Development of HR Analytics in Research: A Bibliometric Study
摘要
In today's competitive business landscape, companies are increasingly recognizing the value of leveraging data and analytics to make informed decisions about their most important asset - their workforce (Garg and Goyal Int J Bus Data Anal 1(1):4–15, 2019). As a result, the field of Human Resources analytics has gained significant traction in recent years. HR analytics can be defined as the application of data analysis and statistical techniques to human resources data, with the goal of improving an organization's business outcomes, such as workforce performance and employee wellbeing, and enable and drive better decision-making (Coolen et al., Hum Resour Manag Rev 33, 2023). This study provides a bibliometric analysis of the extant literature by firstly conducting a performance analysis of research publications which examines the contribution of different research constituents in the area of HR analytics, and secondly supplementing it with a science mapping software VOSviewer that generates visualizations of the structural connections between the research constituents. The results are interpreted, and common trends and patterns are identified. Finally, the study provides some recommendations through the prominent future directions identified in the extant literature examined in the data collected.
