This study focuses on utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT) technology to achieve the interconnection between children’s medication packaging and smart devices, aiming to enhance the safety, convenience, and intelligence of children’s medication use. Through in-depth analysis of the characteristics of IoT technology and its current application status in the field of medication packaging, this study has designed an interconnection scheme based on RFID technology, sensor technology, data transmission technology, cloud computing, and big data technology. This scheme integrates hardware components such as smart medicine boxes, control centers, and power modules, combined with high-performance micro controllers and software programs, to realize real-time monitoring of medication storage status, medication reminders, dosage management, and other functions. Additionally, a cloud storage platform has been established to save medication usage records and user settings. System testing results indicate that this scheme can effectively improve the safety and convenience of children’s medication use, providing parents and doctors with effective medication management tools. Future research can further explore the integration of IoT technology with artificial intelligence and big data, expanding the system’s application scenarios and providing more innovative support for health management services.
