Development and Use of Certified Reference Materials for Nutrients in Seawater
摘要
This work outlines the development and use of Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) for nutrients in seawater, along with the history of nutrient measurement. Despite a long history of nutrient measurement, the use of nutrient data to assess ocean climate change is rare. One reason for this is the low comparability of nutrient measurements. The ocean community has made efforts to improve comparability through intercomparison exercises. At present, the CRMs developed and marketed by a private Japanese company are the most suitable for improving comparability. How to use these CRMs for highly accurate measurement of nutrients is also described.
