Cutting Process in Machining Ferrous Materials
摘要
Intermittent cutting techniques, particularly EVC, have emerged as a promising solution for decreasing tool wear during SPDT of ferrous materials. This unique intermittent mechanism enhances the accessibility of cutting fluid to the tool-workpiece contact area and therefore influence the machined surface. This chapter aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the cutting process in diamond cutting ferrous materials by examining the benefits of intermittent cutting technology and the critical role of lubricants.
