This research aims to explore the themes of redemption and salvation within the narrative of a storm-stricken ship, as portrayed in two significant ritual-historical texts belonging to the ancient Iran and Gurāni traditions. These texts encompass the account of the redemption of “Pāurva” in the fifth Yasht, an integral part of the later Avestā, as well as the tale of “The Salvation of Gelim-a Kul” found in the Diwān-a Gowra, a religious text of the Yāresān community. This investigation elucidates the interconnectedness between the narratives of “Pāurva” and “Gelim-a Kul” in order to discern the shared motifs and overarching frameworks that have shaped the captivating story of “Gelim-a Kul.” By delving beyond linguistic analysis and considering the intricate substance and ideas presented in both narratives, the study uncovers the extent to which the Yāresān teachings illuminate and resonate with the fundamental concepts embedded in the Ābān Yasht narrative, thus, revealing the profound interplay between these literary works.

摘要
