Synchronous Rectification of CLLC Resonant Converter Based on Resonant Capacitor Voltage

For bidirectional CLLC resonant converters, synchronous rectification is an effective method to reduce their losses. In this paper, a synchronous rectification (SR) driving strategy for CLLC resonant converters based on resonant capacitor voltage is proposed. Unlike existing SR driving strategies, the proposed method requires neither the use of costly sensors nor complex theoretical calculations. The control principle of the method at different operating frequencies is analyzed and simulations are built based on the control block diagram. Finally, the correctness of the proposed driving strategy is verified by simulation.
