In a world simultaneously facing multiple crises, children face widening disparities in terms of health, education, nutrition, sanitation and a number of other areas, while millions of children miss out on essential vaccines and live in active conflict zones. UNICEFUNICEF and China have been working together to reach some of the most vulnerable children in low-income and middle-income countries through South-South cooperation, but all countries have a responsibility to get progress for children back on track and achieve the SDGs. Promoting children’s rights and well-being is not separate from the development agenda; it is central to it.
