Nanofiller-Based Drug Delivery Systems: Recent Developments and Future Prospects
摘要
Nanotechnology has emerged as a unique field of study, with the goal of modernizing the way scientists have handled critical needs and complex challenges, contributing to remarkable discoveries. Nanocomposites, on the other hand, have emerged as a potential field of development and research area. Because of their improved surface characteristics and rheological features, the nanocomposites can be employed as drug carriers. Polymer nanocomposites having increased mechanical characteristics have emerged as a key topic of recent research and development in a large area of nanotechnology. The nanocomposite material is an innovative product with nanofillers spread throughout the matrix. Traditional drug delivery methods typically rely on the passive administration of medicinal chemicals, which can be substantially regulated prior to injection or installation through material composition modifications. Advanced nanomaterials have subsequently received interest in the drug sector for usage as medication delivery vehicles. Nanofillers, particularly those relying on clays and carbon nanotubes, have recently gained a lot of interest. This chapter discusses the potential of nanofillers for drug loading in the drug delivery industry. The nanofiller drug delivery method is a novel approach to medical research. The following approach is taken to review the notion of nanofillers, their benefits, and types. It is additionally stated that they have a wide range of uses in several domains of medication administration.
