Research on the Application of Polymers and Nanoparticles in Foamed Cement

Foamed cement has the advantages of low density, good heat insulation and strong anti-gas channel ability. It has a wide application prospect in the cementing operation of low pressure leaky well, long sealing section well and heavy oil thermal recovery well. To solve the problem that conventional foamed cement is not pressure-resistant and has poor stability, a variety of foaming agents and foam stabilizing agents are optimized through foaming volume and stability test, and basalt fiber is optimized through compressive test. The results show that 1.3% AOS as a foaming agent can form a uniform and dense foam system. The composite foam stabilizer of 0.5% xanthan gum and 2% nano-SiO2 can maintain stability under the pressure of 4 MPa and the density of solidified cement has no significant change. The strength of the foamed cement with 1% 6 mm basalt fiber increased by 47% compared with the control group with the compressive strength of 12 MPa was still maintained at a density of 1.55 g/cm3. The resulting compressive cement slurry system has the advantages of simple foaming and low cost, which lays a foundation for the application of foamed cement in cementing field.
