In recent years, with the rapid advancement of technology, the food industry has undergone a profound transformation. These changes are mainly attributed to the introduction of advanced physical technologies, which have not only enhanced the understanding of food quality and safety but also significantly improved processing efficiency, driving innovative development in the food industry. Although traditional food processing and testing methods have met market demands to some extent, as consumers’ requirements for food quality, nutritional content, and visual effects continue to rise, these traditional methods have gradually revealed their limitations. To meet these growing demands, cutting-edge physical technologies such as ultrasound imaging, computed tomography (CT), terahertz spectroscopy, and 4D printing have emerged and become important tools in the food industry.
