Integrating IoT Along with WSN for Analyzing and Surveilling Water Quality in Terrestrial Water Bodies

Our project proposes a cost-effective, live water quality monitoring system ideal for remote water bodies. This prototype integrates a processing unit, wireless communication module, sensors, a camera module, an alarm system, and a robotic arm for debris removal. Sensors detect harmful substances, turbidity, temperature, pH, and gas, with real-time data uploaded to a cloud server accessible from any device. The system displays collected information, triggers local alarms for parameter breaches, and captures surface objects or aquatic life with its camera. To enhance monitoring and action, upon detecting debris (hyacinth plants, dead fish, plastic, etc.), the system sends an SMS/email to the nearest governing body. Furthermore, the camera module executes image processing utilizing machine learning, directing the remote-controlled robotic arm in garbage removal. This end product of this system ensures a secure website showcasing real-occasion results, with future plans for app management to ensure data privacy and user convenience.
