This literature review synthesizes existing research on the use of edge computing in the healthcare sector, examining its applications, benefits, challenges, and future prospects. This literature review article is focused on studying the trends and applications in edge computing, the classification and utility of data in health care, security, and privacy concerns, and the existing authentication techniques related to healthcare data access. By exploring the current landscape, this review aims to propose edge computing-based secured smart healthcare framework using authentication services.
