Japan has a high aging population and a long average life expectancy, and the incidence of dementia is the highest in the world. This chapter introduces recent measures of the Japanese national dementia strategy focusing on dementia barrier-free, indicates a lack of perspectives in the policy, and proposes some ideas to improve the problem. Namely, the proposal is an inclusive perspective of aging society and dementia. The ideas consist of homogeneous perspectives of dementia with normal aging and psychological significance for developing social resources, where people with dementia can formulate progressively presented selves. Such a perspective may contribute to dementia care in other countries.
