Neurodiverse and Inclusive Post-secondary Education in Japan
摘要
This chapter introduces practices and research on study support for university students with developmental disabilities enrolled in Japanese post-secondary education. First, the current status of support for students with disabilities in Japan will be reviewed, followed by a discussion of issues that are unique to Japan or common internationally. Next, I will present promising practices and research on how students with developmental disabilities, a facet of neurodiversity, can be included in post-secondary education. In particular, I will showcase initiatives that leverage technology to support learning with and without disabilities.
