Special substructure includes special soil (rock) substructure, poor geological substructure and substructure in special conditions. As the route passes through the special section, a comprehensive geological survey shall be performed to identify the nature of the special geological body, origin types, sizes, stability status and development trends. The physical and mechanical parameters of the special substructure design shall be comprehensively analyzed and determined by the in-situ test data combined with laboratory test data.
