BEEP: Blockchain-Based Entry, Exit and Parking Management System for Campus

Like other systems, campuses like an institution campus or hospital campus are also becoming smart. In a smart campus, vehicle management also needs to be smart and secure. Recording vehicle entry time, exit time and managing parking is a complex task. Also keeping those information secure is very important. Time management is essential for both students and faculty in an educational campus. Locating a parking spot closest to the destination building at a university can be a frustrating and time-consuming task. Here, a vehicle entry, exit and parking management system for a campus has been proposed. The system efficiently assigns parking spaces by looking at the vehicle user’s destination building preference and the current availability of parking slots, ensuring a streamlined and convenient parking experience. No one can disagree with the system records as the system is designed on blockchain and smart contract. In order to assess its performance, the system has been simulated on top of Ethereum blockchain. Simulation result shows that the proposed system is feasible for usage within actual campus environments.
