Emerging Pollutants (EPs) are gaining concern due to its increasing hazard efficacy for human and the environment along with human population growth, industrial development, and increasingly diverse urban activities. Meanwhile, studies regarding EPs occurrence in Southeast Asian countries with its tropical climates are still quite limited, China has become the country with the largest number of EPs research in Asia continent. As a developed country, China has elaborated on the presence of EPs in various environmental matrices. On the other side, research in Southeast Asia region is limited to several well-known EPs, i.e., several pollutants from the pharmaceuticals and pesticide groups.
