As the penetration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is rapidly increasing in Chinese automotive industry, high-precision integrated navigation system is the main component of the absolute positioning sensor, which is crucial for autonomous driving system to keep safety and reliably. Integrated navigation system is based on the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) consisting of three types of information sources: RTK/IMU/chassis information. It achieves centimeter level positioning accuracy on the basis of the kinematic model of wheeled vehicles. This paper mainly introduces the requirements for high-precision integrated navigation system hardware, positioning algorithm software to achieve high-order intelligent driving functions in automobile. And analogically introduces the commonly used Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) hardware and IMU hardware models. At last this paper prospects of the development trend of IMU, GNSS hardware and the integrated positioning algorithm under the background of frustrated economic situation and strict cost reduction requirements.
