Under the traditional teaching mode, on the basis of the problem that the automatic control theory course cannot stimulate students’ independent learning ability, cultivate students’ innovation ability, and enhance students’ comprehensive literacy, this paper explores the flipped classroom teaching mode, which can guide students to learn independently, think in inquiry, and improve in expansion, and applies it to the automatic control theory. Due to the characteristics of the automatic control theory course, it constructs the self-learning system before class, the teaching link system during class, and the consolidation and teaching evaluation system after class. Through practice, it has been proven that the flipped classroom teaching mode not only achieves good teaching results in automatic control theory course, while also cultivating students’ creative thinking and comprehensive qualities.
