Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) is a sub-discipline of the primary discipline of Control Science and Engineering. With the advancement of intelligent autonomous technology, the cultivation of GNC talent has become an important part of Tsinghua University’s talent training system. Due to the unique nature of Tsinghua University as a comprehensive university, the GNC course offered at Tsinghua University differs significantly from those at universities in specialized fields such as aviation, aerospace, military, and maritime. This paper focuses on the development and talent cultivation of the GNC discipline at Tsinghua University, comparatively analyzes the special requirements for offering GNC courses at Tsinghua University and, in conjunction with the teaching practice of the GNC course, discusses the strategies for the development of GNC courses at Tsinghua University, also providing insights for comprehensive universities to offer GNC courses.
