Advantages and Disadvantages of Metal Organic Framework [MOFs]
摘要
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have emerged as promising materials in various scientific fields due to their porous structures and tenable properties. In forensic science, MOFs have shown potential in applications such as drug delivery, sensing, and storage of volatile compounds. This abstract outlines the advantages and disadvantages of MOFs in forensic science. The advantages encompass their high surface area, tailored functionality, and selectivity in capturing and detecting specific compounds critical in forensic investigations. However, challenges including stability under varying conditions, scalability, and synthesis complexity pose limitations to their widespread implementation. This review highlights the current landscape of MOFs in forensic science, emphasizing their potential and the areas that necessitate further research and development for practical utilization.
