Restrictions on social space during the Covid-19 pandemic may disturb social harmony. If each person's religious consciousness is not strengthened, society may struggle to control the fear and anxiety they experience while a disease outbreak is underway. Literary works help to portray the shattered social reality as one of the efforts to preserve social peace. Prayer poems are included in this study as a literary text source since it is considered to be an artistic response to what people expected during the Covid-19 pandemic. A book collection of poems entitled Peradaban Baru Corona has various prayer poems that serve as the analytical source for this study. These poems inherently present prayers as a hope to achieve happiness. Prayer poems show another side of spiritual happiness in addition to portraying the realities of distress. This study was intended to illustrate that the Indonesian people have the hope of achieving happiness during the Covid-19 pandemic by increasing their sense of sincerity and gratitude to God through dialogues carried out in prayer. The language used in the collection of poems was analyzed using semi-miotic theory. By employing a prophetic literary approach, this research focuses on one of the intrinsic elements of literary works, namely the setting of the atmosphere depicted in the poems. This study discovered that improving sincerity and gratitude for God was one of the strategies to restore social harmony that had been disturbed by the Covid-19 outbreak. The author of the Peradaban Baru Corona book collection of poems used prayer poems to illustrate the closeness between humans and God to alleviate anxiety related to the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia.
