Ecotourism is one of the important aspects of the economic development of countries in various parts of the world, including in the Southeast Asia Region (ASEAN). Current conditions show that various policies implemented in Indonesia and several ASEAN countries have a diversity of ecotourism development governance, especially aspects of the partnership pattern between policymakers. Each country has its level of success in managing this partnership. This study focuses on government-community partnerships as the essential part of Ecotourism Partnership Governance. This paper used literature study and based on analysis of seminar paper and academic discussion summaries, taskforce reports from research, and journals on the good governance of tourism. Existing partnerships have the potential to serve as the framework for developing a model of partnership patterns, according to the study’s findings. The analysis demonstrates that effective collaborative management adheres to several parameters, including the sustainable use of natural resources, community-based and community-run initiatives, equity, and the maintenance of partnerships in coordinating all stakeholders as part of the policy, thereby fostering commitment, synergy, and beneficial collaboration.
