PBAT Plastics
摘要
PBAT is one of the most studied and widely used biodegradable polyesters. It is mainly derived from the chemical synthesis of monomers PTA, BDO and AA, and has been mass-produced. Due to its structure containing flexible fatty chain segments derived from AA and rigid aromatic chain segments derived from PTA, PBAT has good biodegradability and mechanical properties, and has good film formation processability, its physical properties are comparable to those of traditional plastics. However, as a semi-crystalline polymer, PBAT has low crystallinity and soft material, and direct processing and use of pure materials have limitations. In recent years, with the expansion of the biodegradable plastics market and the surge in the demand for other applications of upstream monomer raw materials, the price of PBAT has continued to rise, and the difference with the alternative target price has further widened, limiting its promotion and application. Therefore, it is necessary to blend PBAT with other materials to improve its comprehensive properties, increase bio-based content and reduce costs.
