Recent Lightning Optical Observation Results at LOHA
摘要
The lightning observatory in high altitude region of Tibet (LOHA) has been established by State Grid Corporation of China since 2023. Yangbajing station and Lhasa station are now put into operation. Both stations are equipped with lightning channel imager and electric field antennas. A high-speed camera is set up in Yangbajing station. Observation results including photograph and electric field data of cloud-to-ground flashed (CGs) in Tibet region have been obtained. We analyzed the characteristics of CGs in Yangbajing area according to the data of 2023. The percentage of single-stroke CG is 53.85% which is much higher than that in low altitude area. About one third of CGs are triggered by intercloud flashes (ICs).
