Everything in the real world is in a state of moving, changing, and developing. An event means an individual fact formed during this process. Once it has happened, an event will never disappear nor reappear, but transit to another one by way of prehension and nexus upon occurrence. Since each event can be part of another one and include them as a part, memories of the past, descriptions of the present, and premonitions of the future can be found in each event, implying a more extensive causal effect understandable to humans. In this sense, “time and space” and “cause and effect” constitute the basic way for human representing and understanding real world, because they reflect the characteristics of the event itself and the interactive relations between events.
