Digital signatures are essential for guaranteeing the validity and consistency of digital communications. Among various cryptography techniques, the implementation of secure digital signatures has given rise to a viable and effective solution in the form of Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC). The present proposal offers an extensive examination of cryptographic advancements within the domain of digital signature systems (DSS), with a particular emphasis on the utilization of Elliptic Curve Cryptography. In this rapidly evolving field, the paper aims to give a comprehensive overview of the current state of the art, challenges, and possible future directions. Due to efficiency point of view, ECC-based DSS are more useful in low bandwidth signals and assumed safe against quantum computers.
