This chapter considers a optical wireless coherent-detection system as the research object, and studies wavefront distortion caused by atmospheric turbulence and other environmental factors, as well as its correction. The principle mechanism of wavefront distortion in Kolmogorov and non-Kolmogorov atmospheric turbulence is expounded.
