Analysis on Using Visual Cryptography for a Novel Encryption Method to Safeguard Images on Cloud
摘要
As technology for communication and computing advance quickly, more and more private data is being sent via the Internet. As a result, protecting sensitive data from suspicion and decryption has emerged as a crucial field of study. This research suggests a novel XOR-based secret visual cryptography approach for color images. The processes of encryption and decryption are involved in visual cryptography. A chromatic image is first broken down into three monochrome images with red, green, and blue tones during the encryption process. Next, the XOR method is applied to these three pictures to convert them into shares. The monochromatic photographs are retrieved through the XOR operation on shares throughout the decryption procedure. Ultimately, the original image is recreated by combining these monochromatic images. The Structure Comparison Index Measure, or SSIM, serves to confirm the authenticity of the encrypted picture.
