A Novel Machine Learning-Based Technique for Ergonomics and Work Style Risk Factors in the Construction Industry

One of the riskiest sectors of the economy, construction has a high injury and accident rate. It is a challenge for many construction companies to give their workers a safe workplace. Finding the ergonomic risk factors at the building site is the aim of this study. This was accomplished by visiting the construction site and obtaining questionnaire responses from the workers in the sector. Risk factors for ergonomics in connection to people and their type of work will be covered in this study. Uncomfortable posture when doing work tasks, repetition, and force of a particular movement, especially motion, is among the most important ergonomic risk factors. Static posture, contact stress on tendons and muscles, and extremely high or low temperatures are other ergonomic risk factors. The research will raise awareness of the potential ergonomic risk factors in the building industry.
