Data fusion is the process of integration of multiple data and knowledge streams representing the samereal-world object into a consistent, accurate, and useful representation. The aim of data fusion is toimprove the quality of the information so that it is more accurate than the one if the data sources were usedindividually (Mitchell 2012). Since data from different sources have varying accuracy and coverage, thebenefits of data fusion include improved system reliability, extended coverage and reduced uncertainty.
