Smart Operation Control Technologies for Offshore Wind Farms

Smart operation control for offshore wind farms is the core technology to improve the total generation capacity, reduce the fatigue load of wind turbines, enhance the friendliness and support capacity to the grid, and maximize the profitability of the whole life cycle of wind power. This chapter introduces three key objectives and cutting-edge directions of smart operation control technologies for offshore wind farms, including wake control for power enhancement, fatigue load control for wind turbine life extension, and optimized operation control for ancillary grid services.
