As the prevalence of HPV-associated oropharyngeal cancer has surged in recent decades, advancements in surgical techniques have paralleled the need for improved treatment strategies to minimize postoperative complications. Among these, intraoral surgery and radiotherapy have emerged as prominent options. This chapter focuses primarily on addressing complications associated with the transoral approach. These complications include bleeding, communication defects, and delayed wound healing following transoral oropharyngectomy.
