Orocutaneous fistula and salivary leakage following oral cancer surgery can lead to a number of life-threatening complications, subsequently delaying treatment and adversely affecting prognosis. Recognizing these complications early and treating them appropriately are important to prevent progression. Utilizing both conventional wound care and the recently introduced negative-pressure wound therapy can effectively address these complications.
