Adaptive Timing Design for Ice and Snow Roads with Video Detection
摘要
With the continuous expansion of urban transportation scale and the impact of climate change, the impact of snow and ice on urban road traffic is becoming more and more prominent. The traditional signal-controlled timing system is often difficult to adapt to the traffic characteristics of ice and snow road conditions, resulting in increasingly prominent traffic congestion and delay problems. In this paper, the video detection technology is used to monitor the ice and snow road conditions in real time, and the intersection timing design method under the conditions of ice and snow road is proposed by analyzing the signal-controlled timing design parameters and calibrating the correction coefficients of the signal-controlled timing parameters. The feasibility of the program is verified through VISSIM simulation. Thus, the signal timing can be adjusted according to different ice and snow road conditions to improve the intersection vehicle traffic efficiency and road safety.
