In this chapter, we will present the general concept of cryogenic concrete and make a state-of-the-art review on it. In particular, we outline five aspects, including the application of cryogenic concrete, various cryogenic properties (compressive and tensile strength, elastic modulus, bond strength of reinforced concrete, freezing–thawing resistance etc.), thermal properties, freezing liquids in porous media, and classical freezing–thawing damage theories of porous solids.
