The lessons learnt during the pandemic have now crystallized into best practices and new ways of managing and thinking. There is a clear demarcation whenever cogitation is called for, a demarcation between the years before the pandemic and the years afterwards every discipline displays this awareness. The years have left their mark on ELT too which has now developed both inward and outward by engaging with the parameters of individual profile alongwith the influences from the environment. The strong connection between language and identity has blossomed into distinct forays into Teacher Reflection and Learner Involvement. The attention and focus on varied hues of the langauge experience has now developed into the ongoing significance of understanding ELT before planning education policy and its implementation across the board. As an autonomous and independent discipline, ELT has a lot to look forward to!
