In this review, we examine the multifaceted facets of Society 5.0, investigating its philosophical underpinnings, technological advancements, and socio-economic consequences. Conceptually, Society 5.0 represents a shift towards a more harmonious integration of humans and technology, where technological progress complements human abilities rather than replacing them. Technologically, Society 5.0 utilizes AI, Big Data, and IoT, etc. to construct interconnected frameworks that improve efficiency, convenience, and sustainability in sectors such as healthcare, education, and urban planning. However, ethical considerations concerning AI deployment, data usage, privacy protection, and inclusivity emerge as crucial alongside its potential advantages. Hence this paper also evaluates the ethical complexities inherent in AI utilization, underscores the importance of privacy safeguards in an interconnected environment, and advocates for the equitable distribution of technological advantages. Furthermore, it investigates the socio-economic impacts of Society 5.0, including its effects on employment, education, which depicts the correlation between society, human, and industries. By critically evaluating both the promises and challenges of Society 5.0, this review offers valuable insights into its transformative potential and the hurdles that must be addressed to realize its vision of a more prosperous, equitable, and human-centered future.
