The study reported the relationship between social comparison, reference group, values and consumer susceptibility. Participants (N = 180) were staff at a private company in India. The study was conducted in two phases. Data were collected using convenience sampling. Correlation, multiple regression and t-test were computed using SPSS (version 20). The study was conducted in two phases. The findings of phase 1 revealed that social comparison and reference group influence were positively related to consumer susceptibility. The objective of phase 2 of the study was to investigate the difference in consumer susceptibility during and before the pandemic situation. The results indicated that there is a difference in consumer’s susceptibility under such situations. Further gender difference in consumer susceptibility was also found.
