University is an institute of higher education and research which awards academic degrees in various disciplines. Private universities are self-finance setups run by individuals or trusts outside the government system for the welfare/charity of human. The paper investigates talent hiring practices, talent development policies, and establishment of talent environment including succession planning initiatives of the organization. It provides the practices adopted by private universities as an example in academics, research, and administration. We propose framework based on expert analogy, which is divided in nine boxes. It is observed that long-term sustainability and growth of private universities need to address the academic and research pool as well as leadership talent. Nine-box model which is used in the university setup for developing high performance culture (HPC) is implemented and studies. It is found that it is very useful for talent management, sustainable work environment for continuous development and growth of the higher education system. The study provides a novel model for developing talent management in private universities. A case study is considered as an illustration. Implemented in the university system, reported and observed as effective tool.
