The aim of this chapter is to explore the transformative capabilities of blockchain technology among various industries in supply chain management. Highlighting its real-world applications and the challenges it faces during the implementation stage. The decentralized and immutable nature of blockchain technology provides substantial benefits in improving security, traceability and transparency within the supply chains. This chapter offers a thorough review of contemporary advancements in the application of blockchain technology. As a result of through review this chapter finds that blockchain facilitates the improvements in data accuracy, enhances collaboration and frauds reduction among supply chain stakeholders. Moreover, this chapter critically explores the issues and challenges to integrate blockchain into existing systems, such as regulatory hurdles, high implementation cost and scalability. By incorporating the recent research and industry practices, this chapter highlights the role of blockchain in driving efficiency and enhancing sustainability in global supply chains.
