Firstly, VBLSs are found in bolted complex structures along vibration sensor chains, and corresponding nonlinear chain-type MODF model is built to analyse structural nonlinear dynamic characteristics. Secondly, considering constant inherent nonlinearities in both healthy and damaged structures, effects of inherent nonlinearities are eliminated with additional equations from reference structures.
