Policy Analysis of China’s IPRs Regime: Theoretical Framework and Implementation

An IPRs regime, which plays a significant role in a government’s public policy, protects legitimate IPRs and promotes the advancement of human knowledge. In the modern era, the UK and US governments have formulated and implemented IPRs policies effectively, whereas the developing countries, in general, are struggling with developing their own IPRs regimes that capable of performing within the framework of international trade system and yielding the highest net benefits for their nations. Over the past century, IPRs legislation in China has undergone a transition from the borrowing of western examples to indigenous innovation. Today, the national strategy of establishing China as an innovation-oriented country determines that further adjustments and improvement of China’s IPRs policies must be accomplished.
