Study on Carbon Emission Accounting and Carbon Reduction Measures for a Secondary Pumping Station in Jiashi County, Xinjiang
摘要
China is highly committed to tackling climate change caused by carbon emissions to complete the 3060 goals. However, the work of carbon emission verification and accounting in urban water system needs to be improved. In this study, the carbon emission of a secondary pumping station in Jiashi County is calculated. In order to meet the demand of annual water supply (601.92 × 104 m3), the annual electricity consumption of the pumping station was 108.2448 × 104 kWh, and the annual carbon emission was 81.0756 × 104 kg CO2, indicating a severe situation of carbon emission reduction. Two energy-saving and carbon reduction schemes are proposed: the fixed-frequency pump is optimized as a variable frequency speed regulating pump (Scheme 1), and on this basis, the three-phase asynchronous motor (TPAMs) is optimized as a permanent magnet synchronous motor (Scheme 2). The comprehensive analysis shows that Scheme 1 is expected to reduce the annual electricity consumption (Ed) and annual carbon emissions (EGHG_CO2) of the pumping station by about 11.55%, and reduce the carbon emission intensity (CESd) of 0.0456 kg CO2-eq/m3 when transporting each ton of water. The variable frequency speed regulating pumps (VFSRPs) is expected to achieve the double goals of energy saving and carbon reduction of the secondary pumping station in Jiashi County. The comparative analysis shows that the energy saving and carbon reduction effects of scheme 1 and scheme 2 are similar, but Scheme 1 has lower cost and is more feasible.
