Study on Efficient Removal Technology of Calcium Carbonate in Oilfield
摘要
The deposition of calcium carbonate scale (CaCO3) is a serious problem during oilfield extraction, which not only increases the maintenance cost of the oilfield, but also may lead to the instability of oilfield production or even shutdown. The development of an efficient and environmentally friendly calcium carbonate scale remover is of great significance to ensure the normal operation of oilfields and improve the oil recovery efficiency. In this study, an efficient calcium carbonate scale remover formulation for oilfield was successfully screened by compounding chelating agent and other additives. The formulation of CaCO3 removal descaler was determined: TG, EDTA-2Na: citric acid was 20:7, and the descaling rate reached 98.50% at the dosage of 3%, 40 °C, pH 5, and reaction time of 12 h. This achievement not only effectively solves the problem of removing calcium carbonate scale from oilfields, but also demonstrates great potential in guaranteeing the efficiency and environmental friendliness of oilfield extraction.
