Shear resistance is vital for reinforced concrete beams’ safety. This study assesses shear strength without stirrups and examines concrete properties—compressive and split tensile strength. Concrete properties follow M30 ratio, tested after 28 days. Shear strength of beams, using same mix, is tested with varying depths. Shear values, without shear reinforcement, consistently 9.07–9.14% lower. Shear strength increases by 6.82% with deeper beams. Results are compared with formulas and codes; European code shows 0.34% difference due to similar provisions. Formulas differ significantly: JSCE (1986) 32.96% higher, attributed to unique limitations.
