Investigation on Partial Replacement of Eggshell Powder with Cement

In the production of concrete, cement holds utmost significance due this production of GHG is increased and it is hazardous to environment. To minimize the burden on the environment in search of substitution material for the cement is consider as eggshell powder. The current experimental study investigates the viability of using eggshell powder (ESP) in concrete manufacturing in place of some of the cement. The motto of this finding is to assess the mechanical and durability properties of the resulting concrete mixtures with varying levels of ESP content. The bulk of waste eggshells are thrown into landfills without the treatment. As a result, suitable alternatives are necessary for handling garbage in an environmentally acceptable manner. The goal of the experiment is to use eggshell powder as a minimum cement addition. Eggshell powder is substituted in percentages of 10, 15, and 20%. Experimental study indicates the strong properties of eggshell-based concrete, such as the compressive strength test. It has been discovered that adding 10% eggshells powder to the concrete decreases 8% of compressive strength.
