GIS-Based Optimal Evacuation Path and Water Resources Finding for Fire Emergency Using Modified A* Algorithm
摘要
Good planning to respond and rescue in time is essential since the destructive properties of fires have increased in the present day. To preserve human life and reduce property damage, the optimal evacuation path and water resources finding process during a fire emergency is needed. For searching the shortest path, the original A* algorithm only uses the nodes (places) and weight (distance) as input parameters. The modified A* algorithm to find the optimal path is proposed in which three information: time duration, all nodes and weight are used as input parameters. GIS-based Optimal evacuation Path and water resources finding system is implemented with the used of proposed A* algorithm. The system is tested in case of fire emergency situation in Meiktila township of Myanmar. GIS information is used to search the three nearest fire stations and the optimal route between these nearest fire stations and fireplace during fire emergency situation. It is found that the proposed system reduces the searching time of original A* algorithm and also find the optimal evacuation path.
